 According to the Loan Agreements concluded between the Government of Azerbaijan and the World Bank, the Social Development Fund of Forced Displaced Persons has successfully completed the implementation of 4 projects that provide for the improvement of the living conditions of the internally displaced persons, as well as their involvement in income-generating activities. people have already benefited.

     "Pilot Recovery Project" (loan agreement No. 3109-1 AZ)

According to the loan agreement No. 3109-1 AZ between the Government of Azerbaijan and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) concluded on November 9, 1999, the "Pilot Rehabilitation Project" was implemented by the Social Development Fund of IDPs during 2001-2005. Within this project, covering 26 districts and 4 cities of the country, 192 different types of community micro-projects were implemented, including 8 new school buildings were built, 15 school buildings, 2 health centers, 2 community centers were renovated, 7 artesian wells were dug, 118 km of water , 12 km of gas, 23 km of drainage and 6 km of sewage lines were built, reconstruction works were carried out in 21 electricity supply networks, 190 km of roads and 58 km of irrigation canals were restored, repair works were carried out in 48 public buildings inhabited by internally displaced persons, forced to hold various ceremonies 16 caves were given to displaced communities. In addition, loans were allocated to 1670 legal entities and 10687 individuals. A total of 170,000 people benefited from the implemented activities, of which 93% were internally displaced persons.

                                                      "Project to Aid the Economic Development of Forced Displaced Persons" (loan agreement No. 4034-AZ)

In November 2005, the loan agreement No. 4034-AZ was signed between the World Bank and the Government of Azerbaijan for the purpose of the implementation of the "Project to Aid the Economic Development of Forced Displaced Persons". During 2006-2008, the project implemented by the IDP Social Development Fund consisted of two main components (community microprojects and microcredit program). Within the project, 168 different types of community micro-projects were implemented, including 5 new school buildings were built, 16 school buildings, 1 kindergarten, 4 community centers were renovated, 16 artesian wells were dug, 62 km of water and 10 km of drainage lines were built, 24 reconstruction works were carried out in the electricity supply network, 215 km of roads were restored, repair works were carried out in 20 public buildings where IDPs live, 20 caves were given to IDP communities for holding various ceremonies. Also, 4,235 internally displaced persons temporarily settled in Baku, Sumgait cities and Absheron region were provided with microloans. A total of 110,000 people benefited from the implemented activities, of which 80% were internally displaced persons.

                             Additional financing for the "IDP Economic Development Assistance Project" (loan agreement No. 4395-AZ)

Additional funding for the "IDP Economic Development Assistance Project" covering the years 2009-2011 was carried out by the IDP Social Development Fund in accordance with the loan agreement No. 4395-AZ signed between the World Bank and the Government of Azerbaijan on May 15, 2008. During the period of additional financing, 243 different types of community micro-projects were implemented, including 30 school buildings, 2 kindergartens, 9 community centers and 1 health center were renovated, 60 km of water, 3 km of drainage and 0.1 km of sewer lines were built, 10 reconstruction works were carried out in the electricity supply network, 427 km of roads were restored, 34 public buildings inhabited by internally displaced persons were repaired, and 52 caves were given to internally displaced communities for holding various ceremonies. A total of 135,000 people benefited from the implemented activities, of which 72% were internally displaced persons.

"Project to Support Living Conditions and Income Opportunities of Forced Displaced Persons" (loan agreement No. 8096-AZ)

According to the loan agreement No. 8096-AZ concluded between the Government of Azerbaijan and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank), the Social Development Fund of Forced Displaced Persons implemented the "Project to Support Living Conditions and Income Opportunities of Forced Displaced Persons" in 2012-2015. During the implementation of this project, 307 different types of community micro-projects were implemented, including 86 school buildings, 5 health centers, 6 community centers and 8 kindergartens were renovated, 3 artesian wells were dug, 129 km of water and 3 km of drainage lines were built, 29 electricity , reconstruction works were carried out in 2 heat supply networks, 693 km of roads and 10 km of irrigation channels were restored, 31 collective caves were given to IDP communities for holding various ceremonies, and 2 sports grounds were built. In addition, repair works were carried out in 103 public buildings where IDPs live. In order to ensure the employment of IDPs within the framework of the "IDP Living Conditions and Income Opportunities Support Project", 1,862 IDPs were given microloans, and more than 3,000 IDPs united in 400 communities were involved in training related to income-generating activities. Grants have been allocated to new entrepreneurial entities (MMCs) established on the basis of these communities to start income-generating activities. In addition, during the project, 1,500 internally displaced young people were involved in vocational training and were provided with appropriate tools and equipment according to their professional qualifications. A total of 240,000 people benefited from the implemented activities, of which 75% were internally displaced persons.
